Itinerary in Brief
Day 1: Arrive in Ottawa, Canada.
Day 2: Fly to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland. Embarkation.
Days 3-8: Cruise along the west coast of Greenland.
Days 9-16: Explore the Canadian Arctic including Ellesmere Island.
Day 17: Disembarkation in Resolute, Nunavut, Canada. Fly to Ottawa.
Day 18: Leave Ottawa.
Enjoy a stay in Ottawa, Canada’s capital city. Take this opportunity to explore the historic buildings, museums, stores, and restaurants of this political center.
Next stop: Kangerlussuaq, Greenland. After a flight to Greenland, you will step aboard your vessel and settle into your home for the next two weeks. Take the time to meet other passengers and enjoy the ship’s many amenities.
You will spend the next several days exploring the west coast of Greenland. Expect to be wowed by glaciers and fjords. In addition to the breathtaking natural scenery, you will have the opportunity to explore the small communities of western Greenland including Sisimiut and Uummannaq. There is plentiful Inuit history to be discovered; you may even get to see the Sisimiut kayak club in action. Your last stop in Greenland will be Qaanaaq, the most northern municipality in the world.
Your next week will be spent exploring the natural beauty of the eastern Canadian islands. You will have access to secluded areas and will adventure closer to the flora and fauna with the ship’s small Zodiac vessels. Be prepared for jaw-dropping cliffs, fossil forests, and an abundance of birds including murres and fulmars.
Your ship’s journey will finish in Resolute, Nunavat. You will take a final flight back to Ottawa.
You will spend a final morning in the Canadian capital before heading home with memories of the unique natural and historical offerings of the Canadian Arctic.
